Our Sealing Day (February 14, 2015)

I have been thinking a lot lately about my wedding day (already 6 months ago, crazy!) I have been wanting to write down my feelings for a long time so here goes nothing.

I woke up around 6:00 am and headed over to get my hair and makeup done. When I was done, I picked up Tela and drove my car down to the San Diego Temple. I didn't want to ride with Jordan so we could be excited to see each other in the temple.  When we arrived, we went into the foyer and I checked in and gave the Temple workers my bouquet, which I had picked up from Gina on my way there.  Then I saw Jordan. He looked so handsome in his new suit and all I wanted to do was hug him.  They took us back into the temple where we were formally checked in and had our names checked. After that, we went into the family waiting room where guests were starting to arrive. The Temple Matron then came and got us and took us to her office where she gave is some counsel. I cried and cried the whole time - half from being nervous and half because I couldn't believe everything I had dreamed of was finally coming true. I was marrying my eternal companion.

After this, Jordan and I headed up to change into our white clothing.  We met in the middle of the temple and then headed into the Celestial room. We waited there for almost a whole hour! Some of our guests were stuck in traffic and we couldn't start without them. We talked and laughed. I paced back and forth from being so nervous. (like what? haha.) Our Sealer then came out and introduced himself to us and also gave us some counsel and instruction. After what seemed like an eternity, he lead us into the sealing room.

As we entered the sealing room, I was overwhelmed with how many loved ones were there. There were over 50 people in the biggest sealing room the temple has. Seeing so many people I loved who had influenced my life over the past 23 years was truly overwhelming. The sealer sat Jordan and I in the front and addressed the group. Then, he called us to the alter and performed the sealing. I cant remember anything, but I can remember how I felt. I felt peace, assurance, love, truth, and eternity. We looked into the mirrors behind each other and REALLY saw eternity. After, our guests lined up and congratulated us with hugs and kisses. Jordan cried and cried and cried some more like a baby. We were both just so happy.

I am so thankful Jordan and I have an eternal family and I am so thankful for the blessings of the temple.

We love to see the temple, we've always dreamed to go inside one day (and we did!!)

I received my endowments in the Newport Beach California temple on August 22, 2013 at 8pm. Best day of my life!
My babe got a new car, a Nissan Versa which he has named "Babygirl Versa-ce." What a weirdo.

On Saturday, August 30th, 2014, Jordan and I did a session in the San Diego LDS Temple after spending the night at my parents house in Oceanside. I got to see my dad who was pretty sick after his first round of chemo, but his spirits were up!

I also currently have my 100th sinus infection of this year and I am dying. Ugh :(

Conference Weekend in Utah!

Friday, Oct. 4th Jordan and I flew from Long Beach, California to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend the 183rd General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! We had an AMAZING time :)

We got ice cream at Letherby's before Jordan's mission reunion in Kaysville, Utah. It was so good!
Jordan looking cute as usual :)
Waiting for our flight at 6am! UGH
I got to meet up with my beautiful best friend Tela! I am so lucky to meet her in California and then be able to visit her when I go to Utah!
Jordan wants to attend U of U for PT school, so we bought beanies in support. Plus, it was like 30 degrees outside, and we were cold.

Picture of us inside the Conference center after the Prophet, Apostles, and General Authorities exited. If you are interested in more information, visit www.mormon.org !! We had an amazing weekend!!

Weekend in the Hospital

In the middle of the night on Thursday, I woke up with extreme pain in the middle and right side of my abdomen. After lying awake for about 3 hours, I fell back asleep. On Friday morning, the pain was still there, so I made an emergency appointment with my regular doctor at UCLA. Before I went, I went to my classes and took a test even in extreme pain. When I went to my appointment, my doctor was extremely concerned I may be suffering from Appendicitis, but couldn't say for sure. An extremely nice nurse from the office walked me to the Emergency Room (and even carried my backpack!). She got me settled and left. I was called from the waiting room within 10 minutes and given a bed. Another very kind nurse came in and started running tests upon tests. He said "You will be here a very long time. UCLA is a slow moving beast, but the BEST slow moving beast around." And boy was he right. He was amazing-went out of his way to make me comfortable my getting me extra blankets, turning on/off the lights, checking on me, and even charging my phone so I could call my mom and dad (who live 200 miles away.) When it came time for my CAT Scan, he gave me warnings on how I would feel and I am so happy he did because I was alone and scared. When the CAT scan came back, there was bad news. I had to have an Appendectomy. I immediately called my family and boyfriend and they were on their way. About an hour and a half later, they had me up about to go into the operating room. At that time my parents hadn't arrived yet, and I was scared and started to cry. The anesthesiologist explained everything to me and distracted me all the way until I fell asleep. I am so grateful to her for that. When I woke up, I noticed that my three incisions were covered with gauze like normal, but they were cut into the shape of hearts. What thoughtful staff helped me get through a terrible weekend in the hospital. Thank you Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center!!

So thankful for my mom, dad, and Jordan who drove 200 miles to be with me. I have an awesome family who held my hand all the way through, and awesome ER doctors!
