wow...

Okay so last night, I was thinking, "What if you woke up this morning and only had what you thanked God for last night in your prayers?" I was so struck by this quote! I mean yes I thank Heavenly Father for things every night, but not everythinggg. So you can bet that last night my prayer was suuuper long and it felt amazing :) 

Also, today was absolutely fabulous because I got such a cute letter from my missionary! He seriously treats me so well and I cant wait to spoil him for eternity!

my thoughts...

I have had a crazy past two weeks. Emotions flying, decisions that need to be made, tears, smiles, and laughs. Im not really sure why Ive been so emotional lately, there is no real reason why. I think it is just because I am really missing Jordan. This summer has been really hard, every day that I dont have something to do, I really miss him. Saturdays are the worst...I think it is because every single saturday Jordan and I would be together no matter what. I seriously cannot wait for this summer to be over...which is something I would never normally say about summer! I am so thankful that I get to go back to school early, because I think it will be very helpful in making time pick up again. People always tell me that I shouldnt let a boy dictate my happiness, but forget "people." Jordan is one of the hugest sources of happiness I have. I dont sit around pouting, crying, and feeling bad for myself. But some days, I feel down, and that is only normal when you are in love, but alone. I was thinking, "Instead of counting the days, why dont I just make these days count?" and that is exactly what I have been doing. I have also realized that I have been extremely selfish through my wait. I would always consider myself very unselfish and giving, but last week in RS I realized that I have been so selfish. How could I ever have wished Jordan wouldnt go on this mission? I need him so much, but I know there are people in Virginia right now who have been prepared for him and who need him a whole lot more than I do right now.

so im rather lucky...

So i consider myself lucky. I have a boyfriend, his name is Jordan, and he is the best thing to ever happen to me. He is sweet, kind, caring, loving, compassionate, spiritual, strong, funny, handsome, fun, smart, hardworking, and just flat out amazing. He seriously completes me in every single way. He loves the Lord so much, that he's serving! Even though I havent seen that boy in 11 months, my love for him hasnt dwindled in one bit. THATS love. I love him.

SOOOO in one month, Jordan has been gone on his mission for 1 year! Woohoo! I am in the process of making him a gift package, and my friends thought I should include myself holding a sign, so heres what came out of it!

4th of July!

So fourth of July this year was pretty awesome! During the day, Alex and I went swimming and I actually got a tan! What a miracle!! Haha we went swimming and it was fun. Then we decided to go to Target, (random I know) and I saw this and IMMEDIATELY was super excited. If you know me, you know that Cats and Ducks are my FAVORITE :)

Then, we headed over to San Marcos to see the fireworks! They were so pretty! I think that I got lucky this year and had a good time because last fourth of July I was stuck working. Huge bummer :( But I am so glad that this year was fun (-the 7 random bug bites on my left knee!!)



On another note, I went with my dad to Temecula, Ca last Saturday to visit my Uncle Richard and his new bike show. It was so awesome in there! We ate at this cute little mexican restuarant and MAN was it hot over there! It was like 104 degrees! Note to self, never move to Temecula!

Random Thought: Jordan is doing super awesome! He had a really successful week last week...he got 7 referrals! I am so happy and proud of him! I really miss him and times r hard, but more than anything I am glad he is doing the Lord's work! Go Elder Flores!
