Being home

Being home is alright. I definately have missed my bed and my cats, but not all the other stuff that comes along with being home here in Oceanside.

SO...let me just start off by saying this is a completely random blog and that I am weird.

 So excited because I got the cutest Betsy Johnson duck watch! It couldnt have been any more perfect!

 I love ducks. Hence, my duck collection. Wedding ducks, ducks from Disneyland, Vegas, and everywhere else.

 Tryin out my new camera again. Can you see my kitty??? :)

 I love this....Jordan has a big tough guy pic and Im below him in my 7th grade characature. Perfect.

AHH it's so messy, but it will have to do :)

Missionary Girlfriend's Christmas

Well, for Christmas, my two favorite presents (besides chatting with my eternal companion :)) was a new camera and a huge box of envelopes. Why you ask? Because now 1. I can sent Jordan better pics, and 2. I have more envelopes :) Self explanatory!

AHHHHHHHHH CHRISTMAS PHONE CALLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had the best phone call since last May!! It was incredibly amazing!!!

So Jordan said he would call between 10:30am and 12pm my time. So I waited and waited and waited and BAM its 10:30!!! SO I keep waiting and staring at my phone, checking to make sure it has service yada yada yada. Then at 11:03am RIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGGGGGGG A PHONE NUMBER FROM VIRGINIA!! I took a deep breath, said hello, and then I hear "BAAAAABYYYYY I LOVEEEE YOUUU ITSSSS MEEEEEE!!!" Hahahaha best thing of my life!!!! We talked about how far weve come, and how so very much in love we are. He also told me, "Babe, I just cant wait until youre graduated to marry you. It has to be before :)" He knows how to make my heart melt!!! Then all of a sudden we got disconnected (and I didnt even realize it lol) till my phone rings again and hes like oops!! hahaah. So we talked and talked, and ended it because we didnt want to go over time because we were very fortunate in the first place to have permission from his Mission president to talk in the first place. He just told me he is so thankful for me and couldnt do this mission without me. He makes my life so complete, and I KNOW this wait will be so worth it!!!!

PS: I only got teary eyed on the phone...cuz I was trying to keep it as positive as possible, then cried like a baby when we hung up. SUCCESSS!!! <3

The Nutcracker

So last night Alex and I went and saw the Nutcracker at the San Diego Civic Center and it was amazing!! The San Diego Symphony was so amazing too!! Im glad I have such great friends to spend the holidays with!! Without them I dont know where I would be!

Also, I am very excited to talk to the love of my life tomorrow. I was thinking, if I could have ONE thing for Christmas, what would it be? Obviously my first choice would be to have my boyfriend back, but then I was thinking, I DONT WANT HIM BACK RIGHT NOW! not for at least 7 more months :) I love him so much ;)

I hate...

when my mom yells. It ruins my world. There is something about her yell that stings so bad it feels like death. Its like her words and tone of voice pierce through me like a sword ready for battle. When other people yell, it doesnt phase me. But its something about when she yells...its awful. And mean. And scary. And sometimes I cant wait to get out of here.

Updates and Such :)

HELLO!! Well, December 10th  was my 21st birthday! It was lonely, I was let down, but thanks to the Flores' and Michelle, it was great. First, we all went to Buca Di Beppo :) :

Then, Michelle and I hit up some lounges in Hollywood just so I could flash my ID hehe (btw, the missionaries gave me this tiara hahaha)

 

In other news, a friend made me this picture and I love it :) also, I updated my DOM

So that's pretty much it. Last night, Alex and I saw the New Year's movie, and it got me SUPER excited for 2012 :)

Okay sooo this day has been amazing for 2 reasons...

REASON 1: I got this email:

REASON #2: Gots me a package from me lover.

Contents of the last birthday package I will recieve from his mission!! yay!! He gave me 42087505 pictures, the Doctrine and Covenants DVD pack Ive been wanting, the most romantic card ever, 8 page letter, Believing Christ book, Book of Mormon stories book I needed, aaand a baby. Perfect :) I love my Jordan

And I got a jacket he drowned in his cologne. 

Today, life is good.

Things you never say/do to a missionary's girlfriend:
1. Never say that waiting for a missionary is easy, because in fact 730 of keeping a long distance relationship healthy and good only through letters
2. Similar to number one, but dont belittly any aspect of it, like any aspect
3. Dont say 'oh its never going to work out it never does' its not like we dont already have that fear or doubt in the back of our heads even if it isn't valid (PS Mitt Romney's wife waited for him, he asked her to marry him on the car ride home, and they are still very married and happy)
4. Dont ever complain about having your significant other be gone unless it is for more then a month at least (unless it is for military reasons I totally respect that)
5. Dont EVER complain about not having gotten a text from you significant other that day, or you wont be able to hang out with him until the weekend, big woop we have to waith 2 years
6. Dont say we are overreacting if we are freacking out (in a good way) for getting a letter, because some girls are like me and I have gone 5 weeks without a letter and you may not know that so dont judge
7. Dont say we are a distraction and horrible people becuase we have missionary boyfriends and that shouldn't even be happening, just look about have of the 12 had wifes that waited for them
8. Dont give us crap for writing long letters, its our only way to talk to our boyfriend, and us women like to talk, soo long letters is just how we roll
9. Dont give us 'the speach' about waiting, two parts of the speach have been mentioned but the whole your going to change hes going to change and you wont love each other anymore, or he's going to dump you if you dont prepare for him to come home, or are you sure you want to do this? first off we all know change happens and it will happen, but unless something HUGE happens and your boyfriend sees a pillar of fire or something, our missionaries are going to be the same core person, just more developed, because thats what happens to every one as time passes, and we know we need to grow up too, were working on it, trust us and if we werent sure we wouldn't have come to the decision (as a couple) to wait.
10. Never NEVER let your dog loose on our mailman because your dog just might end up with a bb gun shot on his butt ;)

Loneliness...

Sometimes, loneliness is God's cry for friendship with you. Honestly, I have been extremely lonely lately. I know complaining about missing Jordan isnt going to change the fact he isnt here, but dang, im hurting lately so I am just going to get it out right here, right now....

I MISS JORDAN SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! I COULD CRY!!! IT HAS BEEN SOOOO LONG!!!!! :(

Okay well I feel a bit better now. I think I miss him so much because of the holiday season and my birthday and then his birthday. But...bring it on. There isnt anything I cant get through with my Savior.

Bishop Patton :)

This is our new Bishop, Bishop Patton!! (Formerly Brother Patton). He is such an amazing guy and I am so glad that he is able to stay in our ward!! Bishop Marlow was amazing as well. I will miss him, but I am so excited!

Brother Patton and his wife love to take us on temple trips. This is at the San Diego Temple during one of our temple trips :)

This is THIS year's temple trip to San Diego. Bishop Patton does so much for our ward!!! 

TODAY IS SUCH A HAPPY DAY!!!!

Things seem so different this year than they did last year. Certain people forget me at this time of year, and it hurts!! But it is okay because it just makes me realize who matters.
