Being home

Being home is alright. I definately have missed my bed and my cats, but not all the other stuff that comes along with being home here in Oceanside.
SO...let me just start off by saying this is a completely random blog and that I am weird.

So excited because I got the cutest Betsy Johnson duck watch! It couldnt have been any more perfect!
I love ducks. Hence, my duck collection. Wedding ducks, ducks from Disneyland, Vegas, and everywhere else.
Tryin out my new camera again. Can you see my kitty??? :)
I love this....Jordan has a big tough guy pic and Im below him in my 7th grade characature. Perfect.
AHH it's so messy, but it will have to do :)

Missionary Girlfriend's Christmas

Well, for Christmas, my two favorite presents (besides chatting with my eternal companion :)) was a new camera and a huge box of envelopes. Why you ask? Because now 1. I can sent Jordan better pics, and 2. I have more envelopes :) Self explanatory!

PS: This is what you get when I fool around w my camera haha

I just had the best phone call since last May!! It was incredibly amazing!!!

So Jordan said he would call between 10:30am and 12pm my time. So I waited and waited and waited and BAM its 10:30!!! SO I keep waiting and staring at my phone, checking to make sure it has service yada yada yada. Then at 11:03am RIIIIIIIIINGGGGGGGGGGGG A PHONE NUMBER FROM VIRGINIA!! I took a deep breath, said hello, and then I hear "BAAAAABYYYYY I LOVEEEE YOUUU ITSSSS MEEEEEE!!!" Hahahaha best thing of my life!!!! We talked about how far weve come, and how so very much in love we are. He also told me, "Babe, I just cant wait until youre graduated to marry you. It has to be before :)" He knows how to make my heart melt!!! Then all of a sudden we got disconnected (and I didnt even realize it lol) till my phone rings again and hes like oops!! hahaah. So we talked and talked, and ended it because we didnt want to go over time because we were very fortunate in the first place to have permission from his Mission president to talk in the first place. He just told me he is so thankful for me and couldnt do this mission without me. He makes my life so complete, and I KNOW this wait will be so worth it!!!!

PS: I only got teary eyed on the phone...cuz I was trying to keep it as positive as possible, then cried like a baby when we hung up. SUCCESSS!!! <3

The Nutcracker

So last night Alex and I went and saw the Nutcracker at the San Diego Civic Center and it was amazing!! The San Diego Symphony was so amazing too!! Im glad I have such great friends to spend the holidays with!! Without them I dont know where I would be!

Also, I am very excited to talk to the love of my life tomorrow. I was thinking, if I could have ONE thing for Christmas, what would it be? Obviously my first choice would be to have my boyfriend back, but then I was thinking, I DONT WANT HIM BACK RIGHT NOW! not for at least 7 more months :) I love him so much ;)

I hate...

when my mom yells. It ruins my world. There is something about her yell that stings so bad it feels like death. Its like her words and tone of voice pierce through me like a sword ready for battle. When other people yell, it doesnt phase me. But its something about when she yells...its awful. And mean. And scary. And sometimes I cant wait to get out of here.

In other news, a friend made me this picture and I love it :) also, I updated my DOM

So that's pretty much it. Last night, Alex and I saw the New Year's movie, and it got me SUPER excited for 2012 :)

couldnt have said it better mahself :)

Things you never say/do to a missionary's girlfriend:
1. Never say that waiting for a missionary is easy, because in fact 730 of keeping a long distance relationship healthy and good only through letters
2. Similar to number one, but dont belittly any aspect of it, like any aspect
3. Dont say 'oh its never going to work out it never does' its not like we dont already have that fear or doubt in the back of our heads even if it isn't valid (PS Mitt Romney's wife waited for him, he asked her to marry him on the car ride home, and they are still very married and happy)
4. Dont ever complain about having your significant other be gone unless it is for more then a month at least (unless it is for military reasons I totally respect that)
5. Dont EVER complain about not having gotten a text from you significant other that day, or you wont be able to hang out with him until the weekend, big woop we have to waith 2 years
6. Dont say we are overreacting if we are freacking out (in a good way) for getting a letter, because some girls are like me and I have gone 5 weeks without a letter and you may not know that so dont judge
7. Dont say we are a distraction and horrible people becuase we have missionary boyfriends and that shouldn't even be happening, just look about have of the 12 had wifes that waited for them
8. Dont give us crap for writing long letters, its our only way to talk to our boyfriend, and us women like to talk, soo long letters is just how we roll
9. Dont give us 'the speach' about waiting, two parts of the speach have been mentioned but the whole your going to change hes going to change and you wont love each other anymore, or he's going to dump you if you dont prepare for him to come home, or are you sure you want to do this? first off we all know change happens and it will happen, but unless something HUGE happens and your boyfriend sees a pillar of fire or something, our missionaries are going to be the same core person, just more developed, because thats what happens to every one as time passes, and we know we need to grow up too, were working on it, trust us and if we werent sure we wouldn't have come to the decision (as a couple) to wait.
10. Never NEVER let your dog loose on our mailman because your dog just might end up with a bb gun shot on his butt ;)

Sometimes, loneliness is God's cry for friendship with you. Honestly, I have been extremely lonely lately. I know complaining about missing Jordan isnt going to change the fact he isnt here, but dang, im hurting lately so I am just going to get it out right here, right now....

Okay well I feel a bit better now. I think I miss him so much because of the holiday season and my birthday and then his birthday. But...bring it on. There isnt anything I cant get through with my Savior.

I love you, Elder Flores. I truly do.

Blood-The Middle East

older father, weary soul, you'll drive
back to the home you made on the mountainside
with that ugly, terrible thing
those papers for divorce
and a lonely ring
a lonely ring
sit on your porch
and pluck your strings

and you'll find somebody you can blame
and you'll follow the creek that runs out into the sea
and you'll find the peace of the Lord.

grandfather, gentle soul, you'll fly
over your life once more before you die
since our grandma passed away
you've waited for forever and a day
just to die
and someday soon
you will die

it was the only woman you ever loved
that got burnt by the sun too often when she was young
and the cancer spread and it ran into her body and her blood
and there's nothing you can do about it now

Things seem so different this year than they did last year. Certain people forget me at this time of year, and it hurts!! But it is okay because it just makes me realize who matters.

SO since I will be out of town until Sunday, I wont be able to come on and write all of the things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving. Here goes nothin :)

1. I am thankful for my family. I love them so much!

2. I am thankful for my wonderful, amazing, spiritual, handsome, strong, dedicated, loving missionary boyfriend who is willing to serve the Lord for 2 years!!!

3. I am thankful for my friends, the real ones, who support me through everything no matter what!

4. I am thankful for missionary work and temples. Without  missionaries, I would be lost! And without the temple, I wouldnt be able to do the work  I need to do and be sealed to my husband someday!!

I have so many beautiful reasons to be thankful!!!!

Apparently the ultimate wish is suppossed to take place at 11:11pm on 11/11/11. But I say no. Who needs wishing when you have the power of prayer? I get to say an "ultimate prayer" every morning and every night, because I know who I am praying to has all the power.

Oh & 280 days till I get my baby back :) Maybe less :) I love you elder flores!!! :)

the truth about me right now

Somewhere between the whirl of teen-age dates and the responsibility of matrimony, we find a lone creature called the Missionary's Girl.

They come in two varieties... engaged and not engaged. They come in assorted sizes, weights, and colors, blue being the most common.

The missionary's girl is found at home, missing parties (Just the parties that have overzealous RM's), staying away from dances (too depressing without ??? there), paying her own way to the movies, and buying stationary by the gross.

Missionaries love them, young girls look up to them, parents tolerate them, postmen hate them, and weekly letters support them.

A missionary's girl is a composite. She has the appetite of a hormonally unstable 18-year-old girl, the enthusiasm of a wet noodle, the patience of Job, the persistence of a stainless steel salesman and the imagination of Scherazade.

She likes letters from the mission field, invitations to his home, long distance telephone calls, items for his scrapbook, pictures of him, and other girls who are waiting (I LOVE my MGs!).

She isn't much for Saturday nights out on the town ; people who say, "Two years is a long time"; or “Don’t waste your time” or the classic “ so much can happen in two years” , new clothes with no one to wear them for; sad movies and music; movies with love scenes; knitting; wedding receptions; little sisters who date; calenders; and "Dear Janes."
A missionary's girl is an odd object: She can get lonesome, discouraged, and temporarily lose faith in the whole missionary system. No one else can write such cheerful letters in such a rotten mood. No one else can get such a thrill at the end of the day by the words, "Why yes, there is a letter for you." Nobody else is so early to bed and so early to rise.(More like....Nobody else is capable of writing such competent, lengthy, and entertaining letters in the wee hours of the morning.)
A missionary's girl is virtue with no chance to be otherwise, faith with twenty-four months to wait, prudence with 69 cents in her savings account, and beauty with no one to give a darn.

Yes, she is all this, but it will all be forgotten the day he receives his letter of release and, upon his arrival home she will probably utter the words she once considered trite, "It hasn't seemed like any time at all!"

It's MY life!

Wow so I feel like it has been a really super long time since I have been on my blog!! I've been having  fun!! Here is some what of a recap:
Went with Karen, Sister Patton, Sydney, and Belle to the Hollywood Bowl

Went with The Patton's to go meet Brooke White and see her preform at the Hard Rock in Hollywood!

Got pictures from my best friend Tela! I miss her so much!!!

Finally made it into the 200's!! :) I LOVE ELDER FLORES!

So these past two months, I have learned alot about myself as well as the people around me that I considered myself close with. Some good, some bad, but in the end, everything I decide to do, everything I feel, everything I choose, and everything I say is OKAY, because that's what I WANT to say. I feel like for a long time I wouldn't stand up for how I really felt, but that is now in the past. These couple past weeks have pissed me the hell off, but in the end, I come out stronger and closer to the people that matter the most. Family is a priority.

Hope everyone is doing well :) :)

Labor day Annual San Diego Temple Trip!

Every year, my singles ward goes to the SD temple on labor day to do sessions or baptisms. This year was amazing! We went to the Newport Temple and did work, then down to SD. Afterwards, we had lunch at Islands :)

My Missionary!

Wow I seriously cant believe that today I havent seen my boyfriend in 400 days! Thats soooo long :'( But I know that in the end it will alllll be worth it! I miss you Elder Flores, you are everything to me.

Sundays on the Beach :)

So for the past couple of sundays, my friends and  I have been going to the beach after church. We bring a picnic, take pictures, and just act silly together :)

Our jumping picture! We all look so funny! hahahahahaa BELLE WHERE R U GOING?

We decided to try and act like gangsters. It didnt really work.

I love these ladies! BELLE OPEN YOUR EYES!

We were all running in the waves and Brother Patton thought it was just soooo funny that I got wet!
